Experience the highest sea cliffs in the Southern hemisphere. Enter deep-sea caves; see wonderful wildlife, hundreds of seals, migrating whales and abundant bird species in the thousands. At any time of the year you're likely to see the feeding frenzy of diving gannets, albatrosses and sea eagles wheeling on the wind, cliff-nesting peregrine falcons and playful dolphins surfing in the bow wave of the boat. Tasman Island Cruises boats are custom built for eco-cruising to ensure your comfort, safety, speed, stability and ease of viewing. Their highly-trained interpretive guides love what they do which insures that your experience is fun, enjoyable, entertaining and informative. You have the choice of making your own way by car to Port Arthur to board the cruise at 10am or 2pm or take the full day tour leaving from Hobart at 8am. The full day tour includes a full day scenic bus tour to Port Arthur, morning tea, lunch and the optional extra of a 2.5 hour visit to Port Arthur Historic site before you return back to Hobart by bus by approx 5.00pm. Tours operate daily, except for Christmas Day, at 10am and 2pm December – May and 10am June – November. |
