Bonorong Wildlife Park, located 35 minutes north of Hobart, are leaders in the rehabilitation and release of injured and
orphaned Tasmanian native wildlife.
We run Tasmania’s only 24-hour wildlife rescue service, funded entirely by sanctuary entry fees.
We specialise in close-up, personalised experiences with private guides that allow guests to interact intimately with our wildlife.
Entrance to the sanctuary includes a free wildlife tour. These tours are our chance to share our animals and their stories of survival with you.
Full wildlife tours take place every day at 11:30am and 2:00pm and run for approximately 45 minutes.
A 15-minute tour focusing on the Tasmanian devils takes place at 3:30pm every day.
All public tours allow visitors to see the Tassie devil eat a snack, learn about their quirky personalities as well as some of the threats they face and the efforts to help protect them.
Full tours also include the opportunity to meet the wombat and koala and give them a pat.
One of our expert keepers will introduce you to some of Bonorong’s favourite species and share with you their passion and concern for Tasmanian wildlife. We aim to break down the barrier between humans and animals. We know we can talk till we are blue in the face, but nothing connects people to wildlife better than coming face-to-face, paw-to-hand with an orphaned wombat.
